Then, almost overnight, everything changed. Conditions we'd never heard of suddenly became the centre of our entire world. A body that had always just got on with things started making itself impossible to ignore.

Date nights. Weekend getaways. Trips that were supposed to be joyful became exercises in damage control. We'd book a hotel only to arrive and know within minutes that something was wrong. Then came the frantic search for somewhere — anywhere — safe to sleep. The calls, the checkout, the starting over at midnight.

It's a particular kind of exhaustion that only people who've lived it truly understand. Not just physical. The mental load of it. The grief of watching something as simple as a holiday become something you dread.

We searched for resources. We asked the community. We pieced together information from forums, Facebook groups, word of mouth. There was no single place — no trusted platform — built for people like us. No way to filter for truly sensitivity-friendly spaces.

If it didn't exist, we'd build it.
